Youth Nite!

Here are some pictures of the last Youth Night we had!! It was a BLAST! We started with outreach, then had a BBQ, then played volleyball, kickball, and best of all, had a WATER FIGHT!

VBS!

Recently our church hosted it's first VBS program! Our youth was instrumental in helping to make it a success. From set-up and clean-up, to crafts, to songs, to lessons, and beyond, they volunteered their time and expertise. THANK YOU!

There were so many other youth there (Thomas, Sheree, Zach, Selena, Delora, Mary, etc.) that I didn't get pictures of, but we really apppreciate EVERYONE'S efforts! We have the best group of young people around. :)

What a powerful verse! And since this one is so short, let's all try and learn it and quote it in church this Sunday!!

John Ginty and Elizabeth Nickels will be getting married this next month! Seth Cleveland and Alyssa Wilkins will be getting married in October! You guys are great together and we can't wait to see what God has in store for both of these couples!

AMA continued!

After all that excitement....we are asleep again 4 minutes later zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

We also had a lengthy visit to the Sam's Club tire center, and needless to say, we saw more of Sam's Club than ANY of us wanted to! LOL But it was soooo worth the trip! And getting home was a breeze.

TUMBLEWEED PARK!!!

We love our great country and thank God for His great blessings upon it!!  We look forward to celebrating our independence day with Landmark youth this coming Wednesday!  If you are interested in looking at the park and events ahead of time, or just need directions to get there click HERE. 

We are meeting at 6:00P and will have drinks, games and fun!  Make sure you wear your red, white and blue!

THE OLD RAGGED FLAG

I walked through a county courthouse square. On a park bench an old man was sitting there. I said, "Your old Court House is kinda run down." He said, "No, it will do for our little town." I said, "Your old flag Pole is leaning a little bit. And that's a ragged old Flag you've got hanging on it." He said, "Have a seat," and I sat down "Is the first time that you've been to our little town?" "Well," he said, "I don't like to brag, But we're kinda proud of that ragged old Flag. You see, we got a little hole in the Flag there, When Washington took it across the Delaware. And it got powder burns, the night Francis Scott Key, Sat watching it, writing 'Oh, Say, Can You See.' And it got a bad rip at New Orleans, When Packingham and Jackson took it to the scene And, it almost fell at the Alamo beside the Texas Flag But she waved on through She got cut with a sword at Chancerville, And she got cut again at Shilo Hill There was Robert E. Lee, Bouregard and Bragg The South wind blew hard on that Old Ragged Flag On Flanders Field in World War One She got a big hole from a Bertha Gun She turned BLOOD RED World War Two, And she hung limp and low a time or two. She was in Korea and Vietnam She went from our ships upon the briny foam. Now they've about quit waving her back here at home In our good land she's been abused, She's been burned, dishonored, denied, and refused And the Government for which she stands Is scandalized through out the land. She's getting threadbare and she's wearing thin, But, she's in good shape for the shape she's in, Because she's been through the fire before, I believe she can take a whole lot more. So we raise her up every morning, and we Take her down every night, We don't let her touch the ground, and we fold her up right. On second thought, I DO LIKE TO BRAG, BECAUSE I'M MIGHTY PROUD OF THAT RAGGED OLD FLAG!

Recently we went to A Mountain Apart Youth Camp in Sacramento, NM. What an amazing time we had in those mountains! The preaching and presence of God was so powerful and life-changing! Bro. Garrett and Bro. Stoltzfus ministered to us in such a powerful way! We have the CDs of every service, if any LPC youth are interested in hearing them.
